Stan Moeller “Barefoot in the Park”
9 x 12 inches, oil on panel
Growing up in rural Indiana, Stan Moeller always preferred a blank sheet of paper to a coloring book. Moeller studied painting and life drawing at Western Michigan University. Stan maintains that painting every day and painting en plein air with other artists is the best teacher.
The primary inspiration for Stan Moeller's art is his love of the natural world. A Modern Impressionist, Stan’s paintings portray ‘the mood of reality,’ based on his personal interpretation, rather than technical reality. He seeks to capture the feeling of a place: the movement of air and light, and the textures of the landscape.
Stan currently teaches alla prima painting and landscape painting classes, as well as en plein air workshops in the Northeast, Ireland and France. His paintings are represented in both private and corporate collections around the world.
