John O’Shaughnessy is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in painting. He has worked in freelance fabric design and illustration, and actively exhibits his paintings in galleries throughout New England. His work is known for its color and intuitive translation of nature and the ocean in particular; he can often be found painting along the coast of Maine. John teaches drawing, painting and printmaking at the Currier Museum of Art.
